Terms of Service

The short version
These terms govern your use of AlarmFriends. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. AlarmFriends is operated by GGWP ehf., Iceland.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use AlarmFriends. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the social, voice or messaging features to harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Do not upload or send unlawful, hateful or infringing content, including in voice recordings.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Use the friend, crew and wake features only with people who welcome them.
We provide in app reporting and blocking tools, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create, such as voice recordings. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and deliver that content to the people you choose to share it with, solely to operate the app.
Alarms are not a guaranteed service
Please read this one. AlarmFriends depends on your device, its operating system, notification settings, network and battery. Mobile operating systems can delay or suppress notifications.
Do not rely on AlarmFriends alone for safety critical wake-ups, for example for medication, work or travel. Always keep a backup alarm for anything important.
Intellectual property
AlarmFriends, its name, design and software are owned by us and protected by law. These terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or code.
Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time under Profile, then Delete account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or harm other users.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for missed alarms or notifications. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Icelandic law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will update the date above and notify you in the app of significant changes.
